Yesterday I heard that Mercury's in retrograde and when that planet goes backward it's bad time for technology and contracts-two days ago I got attacked by the Security Shield virus and it embeds so hard you have to get your comp totally flushed out. I drove through a minor snowstorm to Santa Fe and back to have my comp genie Forest disinfect. 5 days ago our DVR hardware crashed and now the new unit they sent us won't connect to the satellite correctly-so I'm typing this while I await the technician's arrival. So my one team in a Fantasy Football championship has to win without Malcom Floyd, who was benched when the Chargers played Thursday and I could not sub for him and, I couldn't pimp our College Bowl Game on Facebook, and maybe, Obama signing the new tax legislation wasn't exactly a good ideal? Well, IMHO extending the tax cuts to the super-rich was a very bad idea...anyway, moral of the story?

Don't got to a website you don't know (you can't stop Security Shield once it appears, it's like "Alien" all over again). And, though it didn't happen there, never open any link anyone sends you on Facebook

Happy new year all!

It's been interesting in the StevieG world! My mum's sister died suddenly just before christmas, so my mum flew off to Queensland for the funeral (she managed to get flights 2 days before christmas which is amazing). Unfortunately there are big floods up that way and she couldn't get back. So we all had christmas without her. She managed to cross a flowing river and get back to the airport a few days later which is lucky, because there's been more rain up there and she'd still be stuck now if she didn't get out then... (and it's been dry and sunny here)

My son was off-colour on christmas day, and it turns out he had an infected tooth and abscess which was swelling in behind his tooth. So it was off to emergency for us, and dental surgery to remove the offending tooth and abscess, and 3 days in hospital. Back to work tomorrow, and I feel I haven't had any slight hint of a break.

Hi everyone, Cambo has successfully made the transfer from the Watch. Flights were delayed, cyber-ports were snowed in, suspicious person alerts went up (last time I bring a Koran on a cyber-flight), full body cavity searches endured, embassys had to be called, but I made it! Big thanks to Avatar who managed to get me here, and a further big thanks to Danlo and Menolly for helping out.
