Sorry I haven't posted here in a while. I got sucked into some activities at KW, and it's hard for me to switch mental gears between message boards very quickly. You kind of get into a groove, and you just have to let it run its course.

Anyway, hope everyone is well!

Me, I'm fine. Came back from opening night of the WSO's New Music Festival a few hours ago, and my ears are still ringing. What, you didn't think classical music could get loud? I'll talk more about it in the music section.

According to my Facebook, it is Ms. Mary's birthday today. I am always hesitant to trust such things though; Hyperception entered a fake birth date on his Facebook which makes me a little cynical on if others do so as well. Plus, I wished someone a happy birthday once over on the glurp, and the date was wrong! And finally, Ms. Mary isn't showing up in the birthday box here... But, just in case it is correct...

Where's she been, anyhow? I don't think I've seen her around at the Watch lately, either.

Yeah, her posting activity dropped off a lot in the last couple of months.

Didn't she say something about knee surgery? Hope everything's going well for her...

She responded to my birthday wishes to her that I posted to her Facebook Wall, but not on the Watch.
She reminded me to let her know when Beorn and I were headed down her way prior to Passover.
So, she should be OK, probably just busy...

My elderly dog passed away last night. It was not unexpected given his advanced age (labradors usually live to be between 10-12 years and he was 15 1/2 years) and feebleness, but it is still difficult.

So if I am not around much for a few days...

Sorry to hear about your Dog , Duchess we can get very attached to our pets. Best wishes.

My condolences, duchess...I've never had a pet, so I can't imagine how it must feel to lose one.

Hi, all, sorry I haven't been around lately. Yes, I have been really busy, and yes, I had knee surgery one week ago. I am doing ok, getting around better now (still with a brace, though) and started physical therapy today.

I've missed you all! It hasn't really been comfortable for me to sit at the computer for longer than it takes to check my emails, but that should be getting better in the coming days.

And duchess, so sorry to hear about your dog.

Hope everyone is doing okay otherwise.

We're hanging in there, though we keep expecting the dog to come out, tail wagging, to curl up on top of our feet whenever we use the computer. The more sensitive of the two cats, Bud, has not been eating much and has been crying a lot.

One our friends gave us tickets to last night's Plymouth Whalers game (they are the local OHL team which plays in Plymouth, Michigan) to cheer us up. The game was wild - it was against the Windsor Spitfires - who have been nearly unbeatable this season - and I have never seen so many fights in a hockey game in my life. It kind of freaked me out, actually. It was good for a few hours diversion - until we got home and the dog wasn't there to greet us at the door.
