Very cool, danlo! I watch home renovation shows, so I have some notion of the labor involved in such projects. (Though the shows I tune into are more about renovation disasters, heh.)

The last few days have been busy, so I have not been around much. With the end of the long holiday weekend, I will have to get back into the swing of things around here.

Just keeping up the daily routine.

Winter hit us full force today (er, Monday). We got our first big snowfall of the season. It was a mini-blizzard, but nothing too nasty. However, the temperature got pretty nasty: it was not too bad when the day began (around -9 Celsius) but by the time I went home in late afternoon it had dropped down to -20 or so. The windchill factor made it more like -30. Brrrr.

On the other hand, I'm looking forward to doing some winter photography now that the white stuff is finally here. The past month wasn't a very inspiring time for outdoor picture-taking, as everything was grey and dull. All the fall colours had gone, but the snow hadn't arrived yet to brighten things up. But now, it's gorgeous out there. Bloody cold, but gorgeous.

...yesterday was not a good day...

g-ds damned stupid mrsa staph infections in the friggin public high schools...

Aspies do not like having skin cultures taken off of their elbows, let me tell you.

Nor being put on antibiotics and acidophilus capsules for 10 days, even if a weeping sore does get them out of school.

...argh...never had to deal with this in the charter schools...

Don't you start. I already got Menolly weeping all over the place. I promise its only temporary.
