Hahaha, there are places with even less winter. We may only have 3 months, but it gets bloody cold. (Ok, by my standards. )

In fact it's worse...because we have so little winter, we're totally unprepared for it...our houses are built to be cool in summer, we don't have decent warm clothes, central heating is almost unheard of...

I live in one of the colder parts of Australia, but it appears it's still a hell of a lot warmer than other places around the world! So many people whinge and moan about the weather where I live, I think they should move somewhere really cold for a while and stop complaining

Oh, most houses here don't have airconditioning, and even ones that do don't have "central" types. Only office buildings, and not even always then.

So our buildings are really designed to keep the heat out. Even insulation is fairly rare.

Got our first winter snow flakes last night. They melted as they fell, so just a bunch of dead leaves all over the ground today.

Tomorrow I'm going to the park and see what havoc the recent snow and freezing temps have wreaked. (The weekend forecast does call for sunshine and milder temperatures.)

It's gotten cold early this year. We've had a frost warning for the past couple of nights. Gotta put the (container) garden to bed for the year this weekend, I guess.

According to the local news, we are having freezing fog in Ann Arbor right now, this very night. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Good night to be home!!!

We are starting to get alot of rain over here lots of flooding and broken bridges,rained most of last night

We have a wicked storm front coming in, temps have dropped to 41 as a high today. But, the dam snows expected to bounce off the mountians and fall to the north and south of us...grrr...

October was miserable for us, but November has been surprisingly nice - well above temps throughout the month. A light snowfall from last night has covered the ground. That, along with a clear blue sky, has made today bright and cheery-looking.

Sorry to hear of the wicked weather your way, Cleburne. I hope no one has lost their home to the flooding.

Around me, Chicago suburbs, October was a bit worse than usual (rainy and few warm days); however, yesterday it was in the low 50s (F) and sunny and today (Nov. 29) except for dreary off and on drizzlies and the overcast, temp in the low 40s is very liveable and above seasonal averages. For your information, one week ago (Nov. 23), I walked to my local coffee shop, it was sunny and in the 50s on that day.
