My younger son and I have been pretty sick for the last week...darned ragweed! I wish it would go extinct!!

It's the weekend now; hopefully a couple of days of rest and gallons of hot tea will help me feel better!

Unfortunately, we were wanting to go to a concert of Verdi's Requiem tomorrow night, but I am not up to going. And I think anyone in the concert hall would be horrified to hear someone coughing, wheezing, and giving out sneezes loud enough to wake the dead throughout the music.

Here's hoping for frost to kill the ragweed plants! Failing frost, I'kk take this guy and his swors to cut them down! ******************************************************

Hope your son is feeling better, Duchess.

I have been so busy with work and stuff that I barely have time to check this place. Haven't been to the Watch in a while. "Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker?"<i></i>

Back at work, *sigh* but this is probably gonna be a hectic couple of weeks for me, so might be away again sometimes.

We're both hanging in there - the doctor has been tinkering with our allergy and asthma drugs, so hopefully we'll both be on the mend soon.

In the meantime, we're still plugging away on The Iliad and studying astronomy and the American Civil War. ******************************************************

Dang! It's cold all of a sudden! 2 inches of snow dropped on the Sanges last night. Time to drop the shorts and break out the jeans. I'm off to start working on the map for my fantasy world--I'm starting to dream this book already.

Glad to hear you're feeling better duchy! I am really zipping around the net now with my new higher speed ethernet DSL. However I'm going to have to copy and photobucket alot of images from the Hangar by Wednesday as I'm shutting down Earthlink and my old hoster-danlo's universe with probably go too...

Time to put in Microsoft Office, get the new printer up and start writting!

It's been chilly here, lately, too. Calibaby had to turn on our furnace the other night!

Mr. Sunshine is doing much better. The fluticasone nasal spray is working wonders for both of us.

MsMary, I can totally relate to working too many hours. Last night I worked an afternoons/midnights double. It is wearying to work many hours!

This afternoon, my older son called to ask if he could come home for the weekend! No one needs to ask what my answer was. It is wonderful to have him home. ******************************************************

My son had a late night soccer game tonight (our town has a soccer field with lights in the park in the middle of town, so the league schedules the older kids to play pretty late). It was so cold that the bugs didn't even come out. I had to wear gloves! On the other hand, this is the first soccer game sicne we both got sick where he did not have to use his rescue inhaler. Things are getting better. ******************************************************

Man, the weather was nuts today! I am taking advantage of a break between storms to take a quick shower and get online for a few minutes. The tornado sirens have gone off three times so far today. ******************************************************

Nice weather! Just bought Elora her first babydoll and stroller, everybody's happy!

tonight's song:

Tiny Demons-Todd Rundgren

One of them plays a piccolo in my ear
Another one makes me smell things that aren't there
And they know where to hide
And they know everything that's inside
Of my head
Tiny demons, inside me
One of them ties a lasso around my heart
Another makes me nod when
I drive the car
And they won't ever leave
But they won't show their faces to me
And they wait 'til I feel
Like they're gone and they jump out and steal
My relief
Tiny demons, inside me
Listen, listen
Listen for the sound
That is not in the music
Only you can hear it,
Only you can use it
It's the sound of someone breathing,
It's the breath of life
It's the sound that you are weaving
With the thread of life
Listen, listen
Listen to the sound,
Let nothing disturb you
You are in a place
Where nothing can hurt you
If you feel a strange sensation,
It can do no harm
Like the spiral of creation,
It will soon move on *****
