It really is. We have gotten a lot of snow so far this winter. All of that snow is so beautful on the evergreens. Every day is like walking and living in a lovely snowscape.

I hope everyone has a great winter holiday, whichever holiday or holidays they celebrate. ******************************************************

Doesn't look much like the northern version of Xmas here.

Thanks for the congrats, you guys.

Northwestern is a good school - hope your son gets in, Duchess.

Happy Holidays to all! I will be off at an Israeli folkdance fesival for the weekend, dancing my feet off. "Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker?"<i></i>

Well, we are certainly having a white holiday season here. Yesterday in the paper they spoke of how it hasn't been above freezing since Nov. 28 and we are nearly two feet of snow above average for this point of the winter.

Danlo, I have been getting all sorts of great things in the mail lately. My older son has been admitted to three of the universities he has applied to (haven't heard from the other two yet) and Western Michigan and Ball State have offered him thousands of dollars in scholarships. He'll have a hard time making up his mind come spring. But it will be a happy choice.

I also got an intriguing little box that says it is a gift from Danlo and Lady Tam. It is sitting under my Christmas tree to be opened on Christmas morning.

MsMary -- I hope you have a GREAT time dancing. I'm very happy that your foot is doing well enough that you can go! <i></i>

My Xmas wish list for the Hangar:
More people posting
Me posting more
Kins posting so that we can cheer up the place with our 1st Master Pilot in a year
Finally getting over the hack
A major powpow and a possible streamlining of the Hangar
And that everybody has a safe and joyous season! *****

Plays Robot Man by the Scorpions!!!

Crave communication
See me this is my life in the crazy robot man reservation
Do you feel him, the cold vibration
'Cause a man everywhere, produce a crazy science fiction creation

And I say oooh, oooh
I'm a robot man
And I say oooh, oooh
I'm a loser
I say oooh, oooh
I'm a robot man
I lost my mind
I lost my life
I lost my soul

Babe, it's a magic station
Where we live what we do with our magic from my generation
I say babe, it's not a vision
It's reality, this is a robot scene what we live in.

And I say oooh, oooh
I'm a robot man
And I say oooh, oooh
I'm a loser
I say oooh, oooh
I'm a robot man
I lost my mind
I lost my life
I lost my soul

And I say oooh, oooh
I'm a robot man
And I say oooh, oooh
I'm a loser

I say oooh, oooh
I'm a robot man
And I say oooh, oooh
I'm a loser

Happy Holidays to all you Hangarites!!!

Sorry I've been MIA lately - December especially is a wild month in my family...anniversary, mommy's b-day, boy's, b-day, Jesus's b-day......man!!!!

Anyway, I read your revamp post Danlo & I really want to make a better effort to be more active here - the Hangar is a great place with a bunch of great people...

as far as the footbsll picks go, consider yourselves lucky - I picked every game correctly since I last posted there - I would rule the Football picks world!!!!!!!!!!
or maybe not.... :;

I'll see you all here more often.

Cripple but free; I was blind all the time I was learning to see<i></i>

It's always wonderful to see you, Earthy.

We had a very weird thundersleet storm today. Kind of made me wonder what season it thinks it is right now. It'll probably be two feet of snow by the time it reaches Buffalo...

My first and so far only New Year's Resolution is to try to spend more time posting here. ******************************************************

Well, I've come up with a couple more, so here is the current list:

1. Give the Hangar a lot of TLC.

2. Get my older son off to college as best as I can.

3. Be better about contacting my sisters.

4. Treat myself better (ie. yes -- it's time for that baseline mammogram among other things).

5. Do my best to find the time next year to finally try some authors I've been meaning to forever, such as Erikson and Bakker. I would say clear out my TBR pile, but that's way too much of a stretch. Maybe do my best to make a good sized dent into my TBR pile? ******************************************************

A Happy New Year to all!

I had a great time at my folkdance weekend, but came home with a not so nice cold.

Yesterday we went to see the King Tut exhibit in Ft Lauderdale. It was a very nice exhibit, but their crowd control was very poor. They sold too many tickets per entry time, which resulted in a huge back-up. We had 1:30pm tickets, and didn't get inside till 3pm. By the time we left, the line of people waiting to enter the exhibit stretched around the block.

Last night, we saw a whole slew of family members, which was a lot of fun. "Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker?"<i>Edited by: MsMaryMalone  at: 12/29/05 10:15 am
