Tonight was a holiday at work, and it was very quiet, and since I have a bit of a headache, they let me come home early. I didn't have to use any sick leave, since its a holiday I just don't get double time for the hours I am not there, just my usual pay...I am glad to be home. I am going to take some stuff for my headache and relax and listen to the new Norah Jones album. ******************************************************

I had to work the holiday weekend too, duchess, but I had Monday off. Called in today, though, and will probably also call in tomorrow. I am just so overtired and having headaches, also.

Maybe it's something in the air...

I have a bit of a cold and a cough, but am back to work tonight...I'm sure everything will be fine in a day or so.
And I'm sure MsMary will feel better after a bit of a break.

Yes, indeedy, duchess.

Actually, it's sort of scary how much better I feel after 3 days off from work (one scheduled day off and 2 days of calling in). I feel...human again. Instead of coming home exhausted and dragged out and collapsing in my bed for a nap after work.

Maybe it's time for a new job.

That's good news, Danlo! And I like Taras' new title!

I'm glad you're feeling better, MsMary! Yes, it does sound like you might be having some "job burnout". I've still got my cold, but only one more night to go of work, then I am off for two days, so hopefully I will feel better with a bit of rest.

My son brought home all of the paperwork for his class trip to France, in 2005. We sure never got a chance to do anything like that back in the Dark Ages when I was in high school! I am tempted to sign up as an adult chaperone. I have always wanted to travel to France, land of some of my ancestors...I only know a few words in that language, though, picked up over in Canada...
At least they give us over a year to save up the money for him to go! ******************************************************

You have our Michigan weather! And we must have yours! Today is sunny and warm (in the forties on the F scale), the snow and ice are melting, and I am in a t-shirt and shorts! ******************************************************

I sprained my big toe--I wish I could walk and I'm kinda sick too--it's been snowing, lightly, here. Poor Jam she love the snow--oh well have to make hot tea, put feet up and McKillup *****
