GRRM announced today on his blog that filming will start in the fall of '09 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

If you go "Not a Blog" on George's website (in the above thread) you can watch embedded YouTube excerpts for "Inside A Game of Thrones". It looks pretty dam cool; I love the actors playing Daenerys and Viserys (and Drogo and the Dothraki warriors) , Jamie, Tyrion, Arya and John Snow. Cersie and Sansa are not really as I pictured them and, for some reason, though I know he's a great actor, Sean Bean doesn't really strike me as Ned Stark. Yes he should be bulky after so many battles, but I've always viewed him as thinner and, well, starker...LOL. I always thought Jamie had brighter hair, but it doesn't really matter. Littlefinger looks deliciously despicable and Peter Dinkledge is perfect for Tyrion, though I thought they'd make his face a bit more deformed...

George says Season One filming just wrapped up (and said he got some work, albiet slowly, done on DWD). Who do you think this guy is? The Hound?

Just finished looking at all 10 episodes and I loved it , but got a telling off from the wife as I have always say to here her romantic novels are porn :lol:

but then she started looking at Game of Thrones and she said my books that I read are 10 times worse , Didnt expect so much lack of cleavage in the series .
She enjoyed the whole series and now wants to read all the books I have of Martins .
We have a confert .lol :mrgreen:
