we just recently found out that a movie project isnt that crazy afterall.

John Orloff, who wrote the screen play for Band of Brothers has announced that he has discussed this with 3 other collaborators whose names I have momentarily forgotten .. and it is a work in progress.

I need to ask him whats with the whole Saturn buzz .. that was weird eh??

Having seen Band of Brothers since this original post, I can honestly say I have nothing but praise for that mini-series. It is the finest thing I have ever seen that was made for television, and better than most big screen movies.

The fact that people involved in making such a marvelous creation are interested in a TCTC movie project, can only be for the good. <i></i>

Perhaps someone can correct me, but I think that this project is no longer being developed?

I know SRD said the movie deal was dead, but, hey, you never know..

FR is #16 on the NY Times bestseller list - maybe if the last couple of books take off....

Also, the thought that the Chrons are too dark, the rape of Lena, etc make them poor fodder for movies strikes me as a bit odd - SAW IV did like 32.5 million it's first weekend - not exactly Mary Poppins...

...and movies like Saw are readily financed because the studio doesn't have to worry about any magical ring in the story, heh.
