So far I have only read three chapters. As soon as you guys get the book, I am sure you will both pass me by quickly - and then you will have to be careful not to spoil me. I am trying to be slow and careful with this one... As I have read each chapter, I am treating it like a mini-dissection, typing in the things that really strike me as important in each chapter. It seems better that way than starting a bunch of threads for different subjects...and after all, even thread titles can spoil. You would not be able to get me in the FR forum at the Watch for love or money until I am finished with the book. Though I suppose I could split it into threads for each chapter, to make it even more sure that no one can be spoiled. What do you guys think? That way we could discuss each chapter as it comes along, and no gets spoiled at all. And the chapter headings could be innocuous like "FR chapter one". |

Right now I am splitting the threads so that other slow readers can have a place to safely discuss the book with others without seeing any spoilers. If anyone has other advice or suggestions, please add them! |

Duchess, this sounds perfect to me!! Otherwise, I would have avoided the entire thread until I finished the book. Great idea! |

I just want to say I like duchess's approach to spoilers here - changing the font color to white. It does the job, and it's more elegant than covering everything under black bars (as is the case at KW). |

But it's not 100% effective. The darker colored background shows the white font if you really try to see it. Otherwise, I do like it better, as well. At one time, Avatar had figured out the actual background colors of the alternating text boxes so that the fonts would truly be hidden. But, I'm pretty sure that was for the Watch background, not here. ...and I've been able to to find that post or PM or whatever it was he sent me... |
