This is some stuff I've done in the past (all copyright my real name in the years they're listed)--which will, hopefully, be integrated with new poems--I tend to write a whole bunch and then go years and years without doing anything--I've had about four such "bursts" in my lifetime, unfortunately most of my first burst was lost, but maybe posting, and editing, some old stuff will inspire #5... From Winter
I jumped through the universe
to hundreds of inhabited planets

Understanding the engrams
(yet still there was doubt)
I had to face the truth that the human mind is unlimited
and the prospect was frightening

All and all
I came so close yet Earth eluded me
The Milky Way's seas of serenity, it's islands of madness

Of stars and planets
their warmth and their security
none may abide alone too long in schizophrenic Pleadies

Space

It is impossible to be jealous
of a woman with her own free-will
yet the depths of your heart-fires attracted me
and I cried as I drew near

Place

Of lovers and friends
their warmth and their security
my resolve toughened but failed to rise

No matter where I travelled
I still walked around as if in a dream
on this isolated bubble-the Midway's chaos this side of the sideshow

Man: tapped his inner strenght
searching everywhere for themselves
and had to decide

There was always something greater
something they could never touch
words come back to haunt man

It's something I recognize in silent conversations
something that manuevers but doesn't interfere
something I never talk about

God: arose from the flames of Hell
imploded by man's ignorance
what epidremis?
the atmosphere's thin shell?
space, the stars and the universe

God, ascending to the other plane
stunted the Ice Age
sealing this tiny terrarium in transformation
about a warmth, a star: the Sun
Oh! science can explain where we are in technical terms...

...we can only be amazed we remain where we do
natural interdependancies
defined by physical properties
held in place by invisible holy intracasies
there is a problem in this isolated bubble

We: centered on God's immanance
centered on our own needs
and took no notice as his son shook his head
Cast adrift in the midth of God's "precieved" disappearance
a few did, however, and discovered themselves

If we arrive anywhere as a species it will be due the few
who believed in this miracle: man

We don't realize we're being taught a lesson in focus
with the aid of unseen hands
a child is helped to walk and talk
but it is up to the child to understand

We are constanly fed new points of reference
and their nexus is the goal of man
the child has been weaned
the playground fights are over
sometimes it's hard to distinguish a gun from a handshake...

Life dances and rejoices
in the promise of new found destiny

She suggests things I always appreciate
things most do not see
mezimorph
one with the order
-being so light
--there is no blight
---no ruin in the world
----the world is

----beautiful
---not by standards others set
--there
-and shining

Someone once asked this stationary drifter
is she, perhaps, your sister?
yes, but we are not related
(we are related)
all beings carry the same blood
(universal flood)
what shall be has been created

She is my sister-she is a star
--she is ever with us
--we are confused
do you know her?

If given=we exist

resting on the surface
the result of an explosion
upon the result of an explosion
the result of an explosion

binaric limitation
dualistic value systems
wearing ruts in pattern
desperately cling to status quo/furiously breaking the mold
sensing subtle tremors
once such faint vibrations
the impending explosion
of
human conciousness

Summer
time: problems in preception
time: relative extrapolation of perspective
(consider=mountian)

Fall
ignorance: no patience with time
ignorance: what has been omitted
(consider=missile)

Winter
majority: little conception of the overview
majority: time appears to have no patience
(consider=explosion)

Spring
something: different approaches from the past
infusing
violent reaction
a true plane/the new phase

fear
is a bush balling up its dying root
trees
expand
and let go
to see far

something: is lost when entering a new phase
but
(aside from experience)
something else is gained

What waxes and wanes
in the crack between clouds?
a glowing baby
laughing out loud

A beacon in this continental drift
judges us without a sound
illuminates their sides, underneath
all around

- - - - - - - -

The oval moon
rang yellow-white
in the the crack between clouds
and that
was the warmth I'd been looking for

When the elements move in unison
I feel you miles away
something about breathing
something about discipline

I can drop things that worry me
devilish images only startle and amuse
where there is no fear
sometimes romantic fantasies just take up time
sometimes romantics take time for granted

There is no fear
only motion
forging through perpetual change

Golden angels arrive at dawn
I leave
Golden angels bathe my path
I persevere
Golden angels far away
I achieve

a balance
in a world of personal extremities

You can't rely on one thing alone
reinforcements are required

I believe something happened between you two
I hope someday it happens to me too
I look to me to set some things in motion
to motivate my motion
to cleanse this clutter in my soul

To achieve
my gains:
reinforcements are required

to bask in the sunlight
to watch the moon at night

I do not walk alone
walking alone

CAN HUMANS BE AS MECURIAL AS THEY REALLY SEEM!?!
WHAT Should I fight for?
crazy, crazy dreams...

I must SLASH the canvas
of this paranoid picture!!!!!!!!!

And remember that
there is no fear
only motion
flowing with the elements
forging through perpetual change

longhair flying
soft snow falls all around me
stomach crying
from lack of food and too much Chianti

had me figured for a wino?
yeah!? well...
had you figured for a flake

the
the scientists are all to blame
for
for atom bombs and acid rain

love is a placebo
in this drugstore game
and all the children are insane

The Bill of Rights is not found in the Bible
call me a wino, will ya?
Hah!...I'll sue you for libel

I
I live in a house full of flakes
and
and can't handle this crap-ass molasses when I awake!

no, no

so all be warned of rain and the bombs
and certian sojourner of hyperspace
passing himself off as: a poet
named Tom

On a high
canyon cracked mesa
at the tail end of the Rockies
surrounded by mountians
and the Culandera-the lush bowl
that stunning, beyond fertile, remnant of 6 sunken volcanos
sits a city invented in Washington

On a vast
desert-alkali plain
cut southwest by the San Andres
watched and mourned by Salinas Peak
just northwest of White Sand's alien loneliness
is a marker where the 1st one went off

Stopped
at a traffic light
on Oppenhiemer and Trinity
in the middle of the high-tech federal-weirdness
of the town of Los Alamos National Laboratories

"We are the most brilliant people in the world
bring ALL your problems to us!"

So, you have "environmental" specialists
and dozens of M.I.T. grads
well, what exactly happens beyond your houses
at those abrupt dead ends?
that form into strange, deep, blackhole/arroyos
casting sickish green-glows in the night
and just who are those cancerous old-melting people
who answer the door when I ring?

I swore I saw spacemen in silver haz-mat suits
far below on the Rio Grande
pouring some kind of liquid from metal containers into the water
but what do I know? You're the "experts"

So, I'll, glady, be leaving now
you've got more than enough on your hands
with your radio telescopes
all that global L.A.M.P.S. military-tactics plotting
to take care of...
lasers...computers...
ashes from Japan...

And all the nuclear waste you generate
is now rolling in "tru-pacs" down I-25
joining Sandia's, Idaho's and Rocky Flat's by Santa Fe
all "safe" as it trucks south through my hometown
to the south, way down south, right by old Mexico
down, down that big hole in the ground

Kirtland, NORAD and SAC might protect you and your families
as you smile and tour our great state
just make sure as you do you remember to visit
that little marker
that stands between you and the W.I.P.P.

The shadow-viel clicks on
in the underground
of dreamland

He fell from a stage down a tunnel
(in the real world
a killer walks among us...)

Deep drugged-out feeling
running underwater/getting nowhere

Palm fronds sway
as you look everywhere!
music? In the distance?

As if someone was searching above you
crying, "Laura?!!!!!!, Laaaauuurrra!!!!"

Suddenly you see the shadow man
an invisible shilouette
darts through dark palm fronds

There's a huge FLASH, someone shoots him
he explodes, leaving nothing!

Covered in black soot
the actor crawls out of that dead basement furnace
into which he fell

A hand touches your sweat-soaked shoulder
Your father stands by the side of the bed
saying "Laura, Laura!!!" "Wake UP!"

Now I am lost
in the realm of clouds
suspended by a thread of soft cirrus

Scrambling up
doing pullups on the edge of the mist-cliff
barely hugging foundations of vapor

I dangle above the abyss of Earth
gold, silver, pink-grey trails flash by
distracted, the sun turns my tan ultraviolet

It disperses-my hands grasp at nothing!
I fall to my death miles below

Caught by a friend I am bouncing!
on a buoyant strato-culumus waterbed

The joyous jumping subsides, I am hiking
down a translucent valley between cottonball mountians

Whispy candyfloss caresses my face, I walk through it
wavering on a deep azure parapet of dreams
armadas of clouds all around

A smaller one hovers above and I soar!
grasping a thread of soft cirrus
doing pullups on the edge of the mist-cliff

I succeed and gain ground
crawling, clawing twisting tendrils, asending
I arise on the tip of a dragon's tounge and step off

into void...

soft
constant
pit-a-pat
empathic gray-hues seep overhead
local world silent
respecting the rain

as if
God were sorry
for the winds, burning sun
allergies
drought
congestion
and dust

nature
now composed;
laughs at second-hands
droplets
settle
on
blooming red roses

in slow motion
silver auras
seem to shiver

green leaves
flicking patches of dusky gray
dip and sway
on dark sienna branches
trunks hidden by houses
dirty cream stuccoes
white-washed frame windows
large pyrocantha bushes
reveal splashes of Spanish tile

inbetween the buildings
sandy coleche packed alleyways
fall away towards downtown
telephone poles rise
wires criss-cross the sky
almost white, very light, blue
beneath unseen
noonday sun

limbs swing in an attempt to strangle false trees
and those who died trying
must be pruned to make room
for more wires
three huge four by five plate glasses
appear to provide this view

one is blotted out
by a big croissant poster
screaming:"go ahead, make my sandwich!"
the sign on a wall adjacent
threatens to suck your poor nose
into a giant, gaping, almost 3-D, straw
to drown in a bubbling cola sea

blue, red, green, tan vehicles
of all shapes and sizes flash by
sparking and sparkling
bright sun relections
a vibrant potted plant by a "smart-phone"
augments the door to the left
as a group of college summer school students
yaking, rustling papers walk in

pouring themselves into booths for coffee
and discussing
...nothing in particular...

It's very quiet
-almost too quiet
--in the rock garden
------of my inner-mind

This solitude has a name: Devonia
-mutating properties
---impenaterable mental space

It is not mine
-just a borrowed incubator
--where I hide and add coal to the glow
of the unknown

completely detached so far away
---when I visit Earth this rarely happens
----why it doesn't
I really can't say...

For time is now coming to a stop
----as the unexplained is already familiar
--------------------and vibrations rise and rise

I see this all happening from Liecia
on the other side of space I pray
that this time
this time
it will work

sucking all that is so deep into the very depths of my soul
----bathing the universe with rarefied love
love of creation
love of being
love of the celebration of celebration!

with love we can conquer all this insane power-lust!
and all these petty little games that flow forth
----all the blood they've spilt
----all the wasted lives
----all the sacrifice
to a devil who knows it's all wrong

If you cared
really cared
your devil would too...

I know nothing yet my sensors are severely effected
reaching out, as far out as possible, to Earth
from Gamma-Epsilon cluster and across the Milky Way
I see and encounter no such devil

The collective mind of this planet
believes you have all made the whole thing up
you have done nothing wrong
the sins of your fathers wash down generations
we shake our heads and wonder why
you feel responsible for them

On Liecia, and Earth, we observe and can not interfere
but we hope and we pray
every hour of your days
that you might learn what responsibility truly is

leading with love
setting examples
reaching out to one another
letting go of self
caring for your planet
seeing all is one
learning everything you already know

There comes a time when all beings of light and life
stand before the galactic council
yet before we/you are allowed to translate
at the appointed place
there will be alot of questions...
dealing with your conscience

Once again compelled to paper
a tree disturbed by the white man's world
writing on insubstantial almost transparent paper
resisting the urge...

satrically eyeing events as they intersect
impatiently undersexed
smoking cigarettes
pacing about like a matron in a fraternity ward
we're (all) the whackos of the world
creative
insane
intelligent
ignorant
there is only one world

we have to share with it
we may not have asked for it
we have to do the best we can with it
we're (all) the whackos of the world
resisting the urge...-

I am everything and nothing
I am one with all living matter
I am something far more than a sensory system
and it's appetites
I am evolved far beyond you who are called Hoquat
I look backwards to see you
I see your lives based on cowardice
your judgements arise from illusions
you tell me unlimited growth and consumption are good
then your biologists tell me this is cancerous and lethal
to which Hoquat should I listen?

you do not listen
you think you are free to do anything
that comes into your minds
thinking this
you remain afraid to liberate your spirits from restaint

I will tell you why this is
you fear to create because your creation mirrors your true selves
you believe your power lies in an ultimate knowledge
which you forever seek as children seek parental guidance

where is the attonement for your violent acts
throught your histories?
we are born innocent
yet innocense without conscious is a plague upon the earth

I take an innocent of your people to sacrifice
for all the innocents you have murdered
The innocent will go with all the other innocents
into the spirit place
thus will the sky and earth balance-

Must every millenium your cycle be purged?
can you ever, will you ever, think for yourself?
or are you content to perpetuate ignorance
resisting the urge...

The power of ahimsa is not just the readiness to die. It is the willingness to live. To live utterly without fear - this is a fearsome thing. <i>Edited by: danlo60 at: 12/9/02 6:49:42 pm

The crappiest thing about being a poet--is how to edit your stuff without going off on some useless ego-trip! But I'll tell you one thing, "Where is Laura?" scares the total be-Jesus out of me!!!!! guess you had to be there! brrrrrrrr..... And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

Ahira, Ahira, he called out silently to the sky. Ahira, Ahira<i>Edited by: danlo60 at: 12/31/05 11:52 am
