I drink gallons of tea every day, Irish Breakfast is my preference, but Earl Grey just tastes as though someone hasn't rinsed all the soap out of the cup when they've washed it!!

We have a little gourmet grocery store chain here called Trader Joe's which has great food at low cost. They have this great store brand minty tea. I cannot seem to get enough of that or Morrocan Mint tea.

I like Earl Gray. I like a black breakfast tea from Tazo Co. called "Awake" for high caffeine boosts.

Well...it may only be brunch, but Hyperception outdid himself making all of us Western omlettes. I think the fact that he used older mushrooms that he rehydrated before sauteeing them made a huge impact.

Hey, any of you heard of the Magic Bullet blender or seen its infomercial? Well, I bought one. Not through the TV offer, but at the local London Drugs store. They happened to have it for sale. I just made my first strawberry banana smoothie with it:



Deeelicious, I have to say.

(But dang, that thing is LOUD! I'm gonna wear earplugs next time I use it.)

Today, after several weeks, my family headed to Bushnell for the internment of my uncle's ashes in the Florida National Cemetary.

After, my aunt took everyone to lunch at in Ocala, before we headed to her home to spend the afternoon just visiting.

I got the cup of soup and half salad, lobster bisque and mozzerella caprese being my choice. I then got the dessert sampler, with the choice of the Trifle cake, tiramisu (one of the best I've ever had), and an Almond and Amaretto Chocolate Mousse Cake. We finished eating about 2:30, and even now, over six hours later, I can't think of eating anything else.

The setting for the restaurant is beautiful, a late 19th century Victorian that has been remodeled and refurbished. And everything was superb, from the service through dessert.

If you are ever in Ocala, whether to visit Silver Springs, or one of the horse farms, or whatever, try go give Felix's a try.

We went to our favorite pizzaria/sports bar to watch the Tigers game this afternoon. Had great feta bread and great pizza.

Hoping to go to a nice Father's Day Brunch. As of nearly 11:00 am, that is still pending though...

We had cinamon buns with gooey frosting for Father's Day breakfast. My hub also preferred to stay home.

Portuguese style chicken burger, really fresh crisp chicken fillet, lemon and lime mayonnaise, beautiful crisp lettuce and tomato. Heaven in a (slightly toasted) bun.

I do have two recipes from an online friend of mine who does bake cakes for a living. She also happens to be a native Tennessean, from a small town called Savannah, TN. She has shared two red velvet recipes with me, the first her mother's classic version, that she says is absolutely out of this world, and then the down and dirty "quickie" version, which still sounds wonderful to me.

One of these days I'll give them a try...
