Which movies would all of you guys recommend to someone like me -- I like atmosphericly scarey things but I hate lots of blood and gore? Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell ****Tavern Wench of DOGMA, the Defenders of George Martin's Art**** |

I'd definitely recommend The Others if you haven't seen it already. |

The original The Haunting (sometimes confused with Vincent Price's boring, The Haunting of Hill House) with Julie Harris might be exactly what ur looking for--barely any blood, no gore but scarier than heck! ..warning: do not settle 4 the recent remake of The Haunting it is no where near as good And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited. Ahira, Ahira, he called out silently to the sky. Ahira, AhiraEdited by: danlo60 at: 10/13/03 2:07 pm |

I will see about renting those two movies, then. Thanks! I stay away from most horror movies because I hate gore...good to know that there are some out there someone like me can watch, too. Duchess have you seen The Blair Witch Project? I'm one of the few people who actually loved that movie. Saw it 3 times in the theater. It got flamed a lot, but in my opinion it's all about suspending that ol' disbelief. It's scary as hell if you imagine it's real....or that it was happening to you. And there's almost no gore whatsoever. Be still heart Hold peace There is also love in the world. |

The Ring isn't really gory but it's freaky--I also always recommended The Serpent and the Rainbow--I just love that flick! ***** Before, you are wise; after, you are wise. In between you are otherwise. Fravashi saying (from the formularies of Osho the Fool) |
