Love him, hate him, he definately had a big impact on Star Trek. I'm one of the majority in that I (mostly) liked Voyager. I thought The Dead Zone was pretty good, too. ________________

According to what I read Mr. Piller was very involved with DS9 as much as Voyager. And for TNG he wrote the Best of both worlds part I, last episode season 3. Currently he was working on the USA series Dead Zone.
Edited to add: Previous to his Star Trek tour of duty, Mr. Piller wrote for Miami Vice, Cagney and Lacey, and Simon and Simon. information courtesy of IMDB. FYI, he was 57 and had been struggling with an agrresive cancer for a few years. taraswizard
