Just about 30 minutes ago I heard the Michael Jackson verdicts read on the radio. "Not guilty" all counts of the indictment. taraswizard

I am just glad that this is over so I don't have to hear about it on the news anymore.

(until and unless it happens again, of course)

OJ and MJ were acquited for one reason, they're really, really rich and really famous. Justice is different for the rich and the famous (regardless of Martha Stewart). taraswizard

Martha Stewart is the only celebrity I can think of off the top of my head who has actually been found guilty and sentenced in recent years in a trial.

Ironically, she did not even physically harm anyone.

We were talking about this at work and one of my friends told me about a tv actress who was fishing for her cell phone in her purse while driving, went up on the sidewalk, hit and killed a child, and did not even get convicted of reckless driving. I wish I could remember the name -- but I think her first name was Marsha or Martha?

If I remembered, I could google and try to check out the story...
