Yeah, posting photos to a dating site when you're just a grade 6 student isn't the brightest thing to do. If I were the father, I wouldn't be amused.

As to the matter of the school trip, I agree that it seems overkill to have the courts involved. On the other hand, both parents did agree to this arrangement of having an attorney represent their child in a "high conflict" situation. And that family lawyer they interviewed seems to be saying that this sort of arrangement is common in Quebec.

Unwarranted interference by the court, or a needed intervention? Well...our tax dollars put this system in place, so I say make the judges and lawyers there earn their pay, even if it means working on cases that seem more silly than serious.

What a generous, diplomatic, gentle spirited, and Canadian response.
