I agree that nothing will happen...but I also keep getting this deep and depressing feeling that we have only seen the tip of government corruption in what we have seen so far.

I am a child of the Watergate generation - I always seem to expect the worst rather than the best when it comes to the government.

Whether or not Bush is impeached between now and January 20, 2008, is kind of non-relevant to what Barr said. Part of the point is that even someone of Barr's political ilk sees that lying and/or violation of statute is not justifiable for the sake of national security. Almost all discussions I've heard regarding the issue of wiretapes in violation of FISA, have argued that FISA was overly restrictive and in order to protect national security FISA had to be circumvented (a euphenism for violated). (reference: discussion of O'Reilly with Dennis Miller in the last few days, and I already know that O'Reilly is an idiot jerk).
