This has little to do with another thread with a similar title; except, someone will probably explain my lack of insight, and need for an explanation, to the fact that I'm not a parent.
So several Iraq vets are standing for election at the national level this election cycle. For example, my local congressional representative, the Illinois 6th District (BTW, an open seat since Henry Hyde is retiring this election cycle), is being contested by Tammy Duckworth, a disabled Iraqi war vet, and she's seeking the seat as a liberal Democrat. And Ms Duckworth is not alone among her fellow Iraqi vets. If one looks at the trend overall, it appears the Iraqi vets are seeking office under the umbrella of Democratic party. Paul Hackett of Ohio is another example of this trend. Any thoughts and comments, about this trend?
I'm asking because on Sunday and Monday I was phone banking and walking precincts as a volunteer for Tammy Duckwworth's campaign. taraswizard Allan Rosewarne N9SQT/WDX6HQV Chicago area W/T forever, always Buffy fans Chicago my livej
