Sunday results: I'm assuming this is a photo of the Matt Floyd who plays for the Packers. Not only does no one know who backs up Aaron Rodgers, Google doesn't even have an image of this guy in an NFL uniform, I think that's a University of South Florida (or Florida Southern U) helmet... aTOM and dAN would, probably, know. My good news is that I won the championship in my Arizona ESPN league thanks to Green Bay benching Rodgers and the Cheesehead's late Xmas present came via Floyd passing for 408 yd and 6 friggin' TDs 3 to Jordy Nelson 162 yd rec-Detroit never gave up with Stafford posting 520 yds 5TDs but they came up just short 45-41. The elite Tight Ends come up big today; Tom Brady, 338 yd pass 3TDs, partically lives off them: Aaron Hernandez 138 yd rec 1TD Ron Gronkowski 108 yd rec 2TDs Patriots 49 Buffalo 21. In other TE featured games--Chargers outlast Oakland 38-26 Philip Rivers 310 yd pass Antonio Gates 106 yd rec 1TD Malcom Floyd 127 yd rec 1TD. Niners 34 St. Louis 27 David Akers not only sets seasonal kicking records he can throw too-SF calls a fake and he hits Michael Crabtree for his 2nd TD 92 yd rec Vernon Davis 118 yd rec. Jimmy Graham answers the call for the Saints with 97 yd rec 1TD Drew Brees 389 yd pass 5TDs Marques Colston 145 yd rec 2TDs Chris Ivory 127 yd rush 1TD 45 Carolina 17. Which segue-ways nicely to two big rushing performances: Ray Rice 191 yd rush 2TDs Ravens 24 Cincinnati 19. Falcons smush Tampa Bay 45-24 Michael Turner 172 yd rush 2TDs Matt Ryan 2 pass TDs both to Julio Jones 76 yd rec. Issac Redman carries for 92 yd 1TD Steelers 13 Cleveland 9. Jesus couldn't score, but Dexter McCluster could: 1TD 61 yd rush Chiefs win the baseball game v Denver 7-3. A good day for Mikes in general as Vick hurls 335 yd 3TDs Eagles 34 Washington 10 Jeremy Maclin 105 yd rec DeSean Jackson 86 yd rec 1TD and yet another TE Brett Celek 86 yd rec 1TD. Titans escape Houston 23-22 Matt Hasslebeck 297 yd pass 2TDs Nate Washington 92 yd rec 1TD. Maurice Jones-Drew 169 yd rush Jaguars 19 Indianapolis 13. Dolphins keep New York J out of the playoffs with 3 INTs and 4 Dan Carpenter FGs 19-17. da Bears also find unconventional ways to win with Julius Peppers blocking a key FG and Charles Tillman running in a Webb INT to clip Minnesota 17-13. Larry Fitzgerald, 149 yd rec, makes a spectacular catch setting up a 28 yd Jay Feely FG in OT as Cardinals survive Seattle 23-20, John Skelton 271 yd pass 1TD. And, finally, in one of the only games that really mattered the Giants win the NFC East and send Dallas home 31-14 Eli Manning 346 yd pass 3TDs Victor Cruz 178 yd rec 1TD. final standings: elanor 14-2 +2 wins the tiebreak and week 17!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jelerak 14-2 +2 Earthy 13-3 Cleburne 13-3 dAN 12-4 +3 (total score) psytech 12-4 Endy9 11-5 Orlion 11-5 danlo 11-5 Damelon 11-5 Mr S 11-5 cali 10-6 aTOMiC 9-7 Bigred 8-8 Earthy's giving Damelon a challenge for best w/l pct., but I think he'll hang on. I'll have the final composites and awards up tomorrow, and, hopefully the Wildcard weekend schedule for the Playoffs/Super Bowl game. And then things might get easier! Thanks again everyone! |

That's a USF Bulls uniform Matt Floyd's sporting. He doesn't play for the Packers, though; he's still at USF. The Packers backup is Matt Flynn, who played his college ball at LSU. |

Are you insinuating that I'm like the Broncos stumbling bassackwards into the playoffs! (fixed) |
