Up to Stealer of Souls. Once thing that really puzzles me about the Elric books is why they haven't been filmed? Unless they have been and I've completely missed them , but I've never come across any Elric films. A lot of the scenes are crying out to be on a huge cinema screen, it's almost as though moorcock was writing with that in mind. |

Yes, they would make for many great movie scenes! Have made it it to Revenge of the Rose this morning after breakfast. Looks like another written as an actual novel, and seems to be set sometime in between Weird of the White Wolf and Stormbringer. And then after that one, I will have made it to the fourth omnibus and the Nazis. |

I have not read any Moorcock yet. I was looking over several of his novels at the library yesterday, and it seems like King's Dark Tower, his various series are all intertwined into a chronicle of "The Eternal Champion, Eternal Companion, and Eternal Consort." If this is the case, does anyone have a suggested reading order which encompasses the various series? Thanks. |

I made it to the fourth omnibus this morning - and the first book in it, The Dreamthief's Daughter is the one with the Nazis. It is sort of strange, but given the multiverse, he does make it work (so far). |

Have finally made it to The Skrayling Tree - looks like this one might be set in Canada? |

The Skrayling Tree is set in a couple of worlds' Canadas, primarily amongst the First Peoples. Hiawatha is one of the main characters... |

Whew. Finished up Son of the White Wolf, and with it the fourth and final Elric omnibus this early morning. The earlier stories in the first two omnibi were wildly creative and fileld with nearly nonstop action and adventure. The books in the second two omnibi were slower paced and had a lot more philosophy about the nature of the multiverse and of dreams...all were worth reading, though. |
