Hardcase is a hardnosed book about a hardnosed man who is forced to live on the street in Buffalo, New York with winter coming on. It begins with a torture and revenge murder (including a rather nasty use of a common kitchen appliance), and ends up with so many people chasing after the main character to kill him that you need a scorecard to keep track of them all. As with many of Simmons' books, there is graphic sex, violence, and language, so if these things bother you, you might want to stear clear of this one! But if Pulp Fiction is your idea of a good movie, this book will be right up your alley... my sister, o my sister! There's the cause on 't.
