Apparently, if we had payed attention to this forum's banner link, we would have learned that 2 weeks ago New Line Cinema announced a special "Trilogy" sneak preview in 99 US theaters on Dec 16th. The article I read, yesterday, was amazing saying the initial demand was so great that 2 online ticket sites crashed. Albuquerque was one of the last remaining theaters and people are coming here from NY and NC to see the preview. People have even quit their jobs to view in another state and passes are, as of now, already being scalped at $150! And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited. That's pretty amazing that people would fly to another city like that. It would be cool to see all three movies in a row like that, but that would be a very long day in the theater. I hope they give breaks for food and the bathroom. I don't know if I will be able to see it until Christmas weekend -- I am off work next week but have something going on like a choir concert or a sporting event every night of the week. (Well, I might sneak into a matinee when the kids are in school ). I got my FREE copy of TTT yesterday & enjoyed it immensely (remember the Chrysler test drive deal?) It has a second DVD with cutting room showing of about a 15 min. preview of ROTK - it looks totally awesome!!!! The battle at Minas Tirith has Sauron's Armies at 200,000 strong - the computer work that went into this is unbelievable. I will be there on the 17th - gonna have my own 'trilogy showing' - I'll watch (at home) FOTR Monday, TTT Tuesday & go see ROTK of Wed!!!!!! Cripple but free; I was blind all the time I was learning to see<i></i> |

Very cool Earthy. I think on this Friday I will try to get a couple of tickets for next Friday. My little one's heart is set on seeing it as soon as we can.
