Pushing a hundred today, and very humid. Will supposedly "only" be around ninety the next couple of days, then low to mid-eighties for the weekend.

Well, we're more than half-way through winter, so spring should be near at least. It's bloody freezing though.

I did not have power over the weekend, as another round of bad storms and tornadoes hit the area. The weather this summer has by and large sucked excrement.

Enjoying the second day of much, much needed rain. Overcast now, smells wonderful, a mellow 71 degrees.

Well, it's not raining yet, but the weather is turning. Noticed yesterday that the Jasmine has started blooming. At the end of July.

Nice as it is, it's not right...

We're supposed to get another round of ferocious thunder storms again today. It's like we're living the Great Plains this summer rather than Michigan - horridly hot and humid, and tornadoes and damaging storms all over the place.

We had quite a gullywasher yesterday, Duchess. Luckily it had quit raining by the time I got off work, and we didn't lose power at home.

Today, and this weekend, it's supposed to be sunny and dry with highs in the 80s and low humidity. It's like being in Colorado. I can't believe we picked such a perfect weekend to go camping.

With the solstice past, even though much of the northern hemisphere is still sweltering, is it time to switch back to the winter thread?

No, spring is rapidly approaching. Nobody cares about the northern hemisphere anyway.

We got rained on a lot when we went camping, too, Ali. But it was still a lot better than being at work.

This is supposedly going to be a perfect weekend - sunny and a mellow eighty. So of course I have to indoors helping my younger son with college applications.
