Well, it ain't raining today. Phew! The last day of the year is 38 C (100F) - looking for that cool change to get here fast!

It's been a cold week for my Xmas holidays. Been hovering around -20 C but it's got a strong wind behind it.
That kills all the fun out of being outside. I'd much rather have a calm -30 than a windy -20.

It has not been too cold here - mainly a few degrees below freezing - but we have been having an inch or so of what we call "nuisance snow" pretty much every day this week. Just enough to make the roads slippery, but not enough for them to get out any road crews.

Hot today, with chances of afternoon thunderstorms as usual. Nice day to end the year on.

The big chill continues. It was bloody cold last night coming back from the movies. It was no more than a 7-minute walk to my apartment from the bus stop, but it felt like my contacts were gonna freeze on my eyeballs or something.

Yes, last night the usual ever present winter cloud cover cleared, and it got really cold. Sunny day, high of 15 F right now...

About to head to bed. It is zero degrees F out there right now, with windchill well below zero.

A winter storm warning is in effect over here. I'm heading out, regardless. It sure looks purrrty outside with the white stuff covering everything.

Nice and snowy here too, I hope it doesn't melt.

Rain and in the forties Farenheit today. More like Florida than Michigan in January!

Yeah, it was a very mild weekend here, too: the snow that fell yesterday turned to slush. But it's turning cold again starting tomorrow, so I may be slipping and sliding my way to work.

Yes, cold and snow will be coming tomorrow. A return to typical Michigan winter weather after a weekend's reprieve.

Things have settled down here - weather-wise. Fire dangers have been averted and now it's just pleasant. Here is our forecast for the week (degrees in celcius )
