Funny weather here...bit of everything, including rain. Too early for rain...climate screwed... --A |

I'm definitely ready for autumn. This late hot weather in August has been a bit of a drag. |

We're *finally* getting hot and sticky weather here in DC -- in September, when this junk is supposed to be winding down. I shouldn't complain -- we've had an outstanding summer, warm but not miserable. Still, I'm ready for fall. |

Autumn officially arrives in a eight days (or so), but it's already in the air. The yellowing of the trees has begun... Get out yer cameras, people, and start grabbing some fall photos! |

The leaves are just starting to change, the sky is clear and is that perfect deep blue color you only see in the autumn, and temperatures are crisp. |

I went with a friend to a fall festival yesterday in Waterford, VA. The weather was outstanding -- clear, dry, and not stinkin' hot. Our leaves haven't really started changing color yet, either -- some of the treetops are turning but the rest is still green. Still, I'm not trying to hurry the cold weather along! That would mean fall would be extra-short, and that would make me sad. |
